Our Mission
Wudao Conference is an annual conference that aims to connect Chinese dance instructors and students from all over the world.
Through workshops, discussions, and renowned speakers, Wudao’s mission is to open up opportunities for young dancers to connect deeper with the art of Chinese Dance and challenge them to find ways to incorporate dance into their own goals and aspirations. Dancers from any level are welcomed with open arms here at Wudao!
While the COVID-19 pandemic took away many opportunities to gather in person, what it gave was the chance to expand our mission through a virtual environment. By connecting dancers from all over the world together in one place, Wudao Conference spires to give dancers the chance to share knowledge and bond over a mutual love for dance.
Our vision is to approach Chinese dance from a broad perspective so that the art can be appreciated and understood by a wider audience. Our mission is to create a welcoming space for individuals and organizations to foster, lead, and advocate for finding innovative ways to promote Chinese dance in their local communities. Wu Dao is a conference like no other, dedicated to enhancing the art of Chinese dance.
In addition to holding workshops and forums for attendees to dive deep into discussion, Wudao will invite renowned Chinese dance instructors from around the world to come to share their success stories, teaching methods, and what challenges they learned to grow from. Each workshop offered will be dedicated to enhancing specific skills needed as a Chinese dancer and improving the overall quality of performance.
Workshops will include sessions such as developing choreography, incorporating creativity through movement, and how to better promote Chinese dance through high-quality performances. Each forum will connect instructors, students, parents, and community leaders through moderated Q&A sessions. Attendees who have any questions will also be given the chance to join discussions with experts who can provide answers and resources to aid.
